Assignment 4 - Task 8: Evaluation of Sound Task

I think my sound task has worked well, my own recordings matched up well to the cartoon. I think that my sound effects complement the moving images well because they are clear to understand and help the audience to see what is going on. The sound effects that I recorded were;
*Shuffling footsteps                  *Nails on Chalkboard 

    *Door Shutting                             *Blowing

*Popping Noise                        *Slurping

      *Phone Dial/Beeping                   *Deep Breaths 

*Springing sound                      * Shaking Ketchup Bottle
      *Crunching                                   *Splashing Water 

*Scream

With the sound effects I made myself, I used a portable Sony sound recorder. I used items around my house and around college to make the sound effects. It was easy because some of my sound effects were of household items or noises we make. 

The sound effects I got online were;

*The bed of music 

*Telephone ringing

*Cartoon Talking (Morph)

*Gong

*Falling Tree (Whistling) 

*Sizzling 

*Ice cream van noise

*Whooshing noise

I got these sound effects online because I knew they would have been too difficult to do myself. I think they still work well with the cartoon and they work well with my own sound effects too. 

I am very happy with the overall result. Although some things I would change would be the volume levels on some of the sound effects because some are very quiet and some, however are very loud. I could have done this in editing but I didn't notice until after. I think I would also try and make the sound quality better.
