The song sounds really sad and the lyrics also prove this is a sad song because its about someone leaving. After viewing a live version of the song I now know that Jazz Morley wrote this song about her brother, who is fighting in Afghanistan. The mood and tone that is conveyed through the song is very downbeat, when she wrote the song, she obviously was thinking about her brother and her feelings and mood is portrayed through the words of the song and the overall tone. This song sounds very similar to some of Adele’s songs; it has the same tone to it and the same moods. Adele’s music is very deep and she usually sings about the bad things that happen. Jazz Morley’s song has the same mood and tones as Adele. The genre of the track is more soul than anything else because it has meaning and is heartfelt rather than it just being a song about something completely random.
